While I have had a few experiences like this - for the most part I have been very pleased. It is my understanding that the older doctor is acutally John Murphy. He is a good and kind man. He does take time to explain, but some people do not have the patience for his slower speech. He was my 23 year old's doctor when she was little. She loved him! Now that I have a 3 year old (yes 20 years later), I take my 3 year old to the same place. She prefers Dr John's son - Bill Murphy or Dr. Fernando. While I didn't care for Dr Kelly at first, I learned that if I specifically asked him questions - he was good to answer and act on any concerns or questions I might have. Fortunately, we haven't had to see Dr Ermer very much because my 3 year old hasn't been as sick as in the past. My FAVORITE doctor at Cleveland Pediatrics is Dr. Fernando. He REALLY is the BEST! However, he's been very busy with his hospital duties and harder to catch at the office. I think the bottom line here is - no matter which doctor's office you take your child to - be prepared - take a list of questions or comments that you want addressed. If you have a problem with the office staff - this should be addressed. I can assure you that the owner of the office WOULD want to know. It's okay to change doctors and if you are not comfortable with them - then you should. But, keep in mind that office staff and doctors will change at that office to. Maybe you won't see the differences in 20 years - but ya never know! Okay, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

First off whenever I call to schedule the appointment the nurse who answers the phone is very rude, and half the time they are too booked to fit you in... even when your child is running a fever and wheezing. Every time I've taken my daughter there with a 103 fever, coughing, vomitting, and diarrea all the doctor's tell me the same thing.... Just give her some tylenol and it will go away in 10 days.... Well I usually end up going back in 10 days because she is still sick, or end up taking her to the er where I can recieve the help she needs. One female doctor even told my sister that she was a bad mother because the doctor felt her baby was too fat. She badgered my sister to the point she left crying. I do have to say that there is one person working in this doctor's office that has been helpful. Dr Bill Murphy, the older one. He is great with my child and has always explained what is wrong with her and given the medicine or means to make her better. I was told that he will be retiring soon so I found a new office to take my daughter to, because with out him my daughter might have gotten seriously ill from the irresponsible doctors and nurses that will remain there.
